These feasts, which are found in Leviticus 23, prophetically speak of the first and second comings of Jesus as well as provide tremendous insight into the Christian life. One of my youngest son's favorite books. He uses many illustrations from this book as he teaches through the book of John. Knowing the background, history, meaning and timing of many of Jesus' activities during the feasts makes the new testament situations come alive with deeper meaning. This book is absolutely fantastic if you want a clearer, deeper and more meaningful understanding of Scripture. |
