An excellent grade-by-grade detailed description of curriculum with specific recommendations for finding the books best suited to your child's learning style. This book is, in my opinion, the most helpful guide to curriculum for new and experienced home schoolers alike. It is divided according to subject and grade level with sections at the beginning and the end which include learning styles, sources, publishers (with addresses and phone numbers), methodology, planning and organizing your home school, testing, special needs and much more. This is an absolutely fantastic book for veterans and new home-schoolers alike. Reviews of most of the best curriculum available for home schoolers with suggestions for use. Details on which programs are best taught one-on-one, which programs can be used independently and ways to identify and deal with learning disabilities. Addresses, phone numbers, email, and websites of most major publishers included. You'll see us in there! I used and wore out earlier versions of this book during my homeschooling years.
