Today's youth have not been told the whole truth about the physical consequences of experimental sexual activity and permissiveness. Pam Stenzel minces no words as she candidly shares how the pervasive sexual permissiveness of our culture is a deceptive trap which can and WILL lead to incurable disease, broken lives and broken hearts - not to mention the most important aspect - the sin that will lead to death. She presents detailed information on so-called 'safe' practices. She presents - in a beautiful way - God's beautiful alternative for a sexually fulfilling AND obedient life - marriage. She also touches on the forgiveness available in Jesus for those who have fallen and truly repent as well as the positive alternative of adoption (She shares how she was adopted because her 15-year-old birth mother was raped. She does not know who her birth father is and she therefore does not even know her own nationality. However, she makes the point quite well that she is valued by God, as are all children, regardless of the circumstances of their conception). This is an extremely positive video and I have used it with great success with junior high students from Christian homes who attend public school. Some of their comments, after viewing this tape have been, "I had no idea that could happen! I'm going to wait until I get married to do ANYTHING!" and "Nobody EVER told me this in school. I'm going to tell Susie (name substitution) about this because she has started __________ with her boyfriend. I'm sure glad I haven't!"
My feeling about this tape is that children today are lied to, misinformed and uninformed about the true and lasting consequences and sexual activity outside of marriage. If they are taught the truth, they then can realize that God forbids sexual activity outside of marriage because He loves them so much. I highly recommend this DVD.
