This valuable resource includes information about educational goals, graduation requirements, course descriptions, college admission, transcripts, and more. For those who find themselves instantly homeschooling, there is a chapter entitled "Emergency Quick Start." A must for home schooling parents of high schoolers. Includes junior high!Homeschoolers' Comments
"This book is a MUST for anyone with a junior or senior high school home school student. Even if you have a child in the upper elementary grades and are undecided about junior/senior high, you should have this book. I thought I didn't need anything for high school--I was planning on using a correspondence course for all four years. Plans changed, and I was faced with creating a transferable curriculum (something which could be used if we transferred to a public or correspondence high school, or when our student went to college). The book helps you evaluate your needs (set your goals) and makes it MUCH easier to even think about homeschooling in the secondary grades. I especially like the way the book helped me "pick my brain" and give my daughter credit for courses she'd already taken--ones I wouldn't even think about (she is an award-winning pianist and can get credit for a Fine Arts class). The book has forms and samples to help you write your curriculum and is very "user-friendly." VS - Nevada
