"MCP Science Worktexts: Levels A-F cover Life, Health, Earth and Physical Science. Although published in 1987, homeschoolers are using these because they are NOT "dumbed down." Levels A and B are first and second grade, but from C-up can be used by next grade up (you can stretch levels A and B for grade one, two and three, and then use level C for 4th grade). Black and white with many photographs and easy-to-perform experiments throughout the text. Very informative. Teacher's Editions are definitely recommended for Levels C and up. They are also quite helpful in levels A and B, although veteran homeschoolers could do without them. TE's contain a miniature version of the text with answers in blue, additional information in margins, and reproducible activities and tests. Highly recommended for a good foundation in science without spending a fortune. Many homeschoolers have their junior high students using Level E and F independently." VS - Nevada
