" We love the Calculadder Drills and just about any matls. that the Providence Project makes. We currently own the 2 Masterpaks and used them both this year and last. We have used the ReadyWriter....which is for handwriting and prehandwriting ability; We especially like the Calculadder Drills though. They are quick...just 5 minutes per day.....and easy to teach! You will find that they will cause "overteaching to the point of automation" which just means that your student will no longer need to count on fingers. They are especially good, I feel, for teaching fractions! This is an area where many students stumble. They also do a little instruction in this area if your child ( or the teacher) has a little trouble understanding all of the different ways that fraction computations are done. I want to add that one would also need a good teaching math text as well to teach the "How tos" of math as Calculadders is not a complete program all by itself. But it definitely will decrease the error rate of most students. I just wish that they had one of these drills for spelling or phonics!!!" PF - Texas
