What is a star? A meteorite? A satellite? A black hole? A quasar? What causes eclipses? Tides? Leap year? Is there a tenth planet? Is the universe expanding? What was the star of Bethlehem? Such questions on astronomy and the universe are answered from the Christian perspective by a college professor who looks forward to the question-and-answer segment of his lectures. New discoveries in space are continually occurring but some answers are timeless, especially so when Scripture is involved. The book is divided into six sections ranging from the earth and moon, the solar system, the stars, to general science and technical terms. A glossary is included to de-mystify terms that are hard to understand. Donald DeYoung teaches physics and astronomy at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana.
