"I had to write and put a plug in for Sing, Spell, Read, and Write. This is absolutely the best phonics program I have seen. It is multi-sensory and combines workbooks with music and games to completely capture the child's attention. I started my son when he was five and started at a slower pace than the teacher's guide recommended. I allowed my son to move at his own pace and was surprised how quickly he grasped the concepts. My older daughter played the games along with us because she said they were fun and my two year old enjoyed singing the songs. There were a couple of questionable items in the one of the readers, but it was easy to discuss with my son and caused no problems for us.
